As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting as regularly as I used to. Since I started this blog last summer my life has changed a lot, and it's definitely been for the better. When I started The Everyday Introvert, I didn't have a lot going on in my life. I had spent so much time watching Bullet Journal videos and reading blog posts about study tips that I was really excited to start my own blog. I put a lot of effort into this website, and I'm still proud it.
Over the past year, especially the past few months, I grew a lot (definitely not in height). I've pushed myself outside of my comfortzone more than I ever thought was possible. Not only am I doing really well in school, but I also have a part-time job, and now hold two postitions in my sorority. I'm happier and less anxious than I used to be, despite the new challenges I face. I've also made a lot of great friends and have an amazing boyfriend. I find that when I'm done with work and school for the day, I'd rather spend time with them rather than writing a blog post, and that didn't seem fair. Instead of this blog being an exciting hobby it has become another thing on my plate that creates stress and that's not what I wanted from this. I'd like to thank everyone who supported me while I was on this adventure. But it's time for me to focus on something new. ~Ana

In honour of Canada Day coming up, I thought it would be cool to list my top 5 favourite Canadian adventures. I'm from the East Coast, so most of my adventures are outdoors. Let's take a look at what my favourite things to do in Canada are.
I hope you enjoyed a little look into my favourite Canadian adventures. It was hard to pick just 5, and I'm sure there will be many more adventures in the future. Have a great Canada day everyone!
~ Ana You probably have no idea what I mean when I say "GYST" weekend. I had no idea what it was either. GYST stands for "Get Your Shit Together", and I heard of it from Kalyn Nicholson the Youtuber. She usually has a GYST day, but I've decided to spread it out over the weekend. If you're interested in some ideas for your GYST day she has a Pinterest post here: www.pinterest.ca/pin/63824519702829609/ Saturday
Starting my week fell so much easier after having a productive weekend. It felt like I could start the week off fresh. Do you prefer having a productive or relaxing weekend?
~Ana Exams are over, and the weather is getting nice again, that means it's summer! I like to make a bucket list at the beginning of each summer so I have ideas of things to do when I don't know what to do. Also it helps me make sure I don't waste the summer. This year I decided to take a few summer classes, and I have a job at the university, so my summer isn't entirely free. But the days are longer and I'm going to take advantage of the sun while I can! Here's some of the things that are on my summer bucket list that you can add to yours:

~Ana In honour of it officially being Spring, and April being just around the corner, I decided to try something new and I made a few desktop backgrounds. To download, just click on the image! I hope you enjoy these! If you want me to do more in the future let me know!
~Ana In honour of Bell Let's Talk day, I wanted to share some things that I do for my mental health. I suffer from anxiety, and everyday is a battle. But here are 10 things I do when I'm having a bad day, or need a break. 1. Bullet Journalling If you've seen my Instagram, or read any of my recent posts, you'll know that I love bullet journalling. Setting up my spreads really helps my mind escape. It gives me something else to focus on, and always manages to calm me down. 2. Getting enough sleep I probably sleep a little too much. But I honestly think it's more important to go to bed at a good hour and get a good night's sleep, than to keep pushing yourself when you're tired. Especially if you're studying the night before a test. 3. Read a book I'm trying to get into the habit of reading before bed. I find it's another great way to escape and calm down. Even if you just have 20 minutes, reading is going to help. 4. Take a shower I'm the type of person that really enjoys taking a shower. I find it very relaxing. Sometimes when I'm feeling really overwhelmed, I'll go take a shower even if I already took one earlier. 5. Get up and walk around When I'm need a break, I like to get up and go get a snack, or just go for quick walk outside. Even if it's only for 5 minutes, the chnage in scenery, and movement will help change your focus. 6. Listen to music I always forget how good this feels. I always have music playing when I'm studying, or doing my makeup. But to just sit/lay with headphones in, and just listen to music is really relaxing. 7. Make lists I find this is especially helpful if you're feeling overwhelmed with things you have to do. Try making a list of all the things you have to do so you don't just have them flying around in your head. 8. Keep my room tidy I always tidy up my room. Yes, it occasionally gets messy, but it doesn't stay like that long before I put clothes away, and do something about the mugs I have lying around. I find that seeing a messy room makes me overwhelmed, so I do my best to keep my room organized. 9. FaceTime my family These last two things are the most important things I do. It can be hard being away at university and not having your family around. This can be really hard for me because my mom is my best friend. So whenever I'm feeling down or stressed or anything, I FaceTime my family. 10. Talk to someone I finally started going to see a therapist and that made a huge difference. Just being able to vent about everything is helpful. Keeping everything bottled up inside can make it worse. Don't be afraid to reach out. ~Ana It's a new year! Is anyone else excited for a fresh start? I never used to set goals for a new year, but last year I made a list of a few things I wanted to accomplish throughout the year. I didn't achieve all of them, but I do think it helped me focus on what I wanted. This year, I used the "How to Make the Best of 2018" workbook. THEME The first step in setting your goals for 2018 is to figure out what you want your theme to be. This is one or two words that define what you want to work on. My theme for 2018 is growth. AREAS OF FOCUS The next step is look at the list of areas, and check off the ones that you want to focus on. Some areas you want to focus on might be fitness, career, health, etc. This will help you narrow down what you really want to focus on throughout the year. GOALS AND HABITS Now we get to the hard part. Here you choose 12 goals or habits you want to focus on for the year. For each of these goals or habits, write down some things you need to do in order to achieve this goal. Some of my goals are maintain a 4.0GPA, exercise more, and stop procrastinating. So under stop procrastinating, it would say "watch less netflix". BUCKET LIST The last thing that I did was make a bucket list of 12 things I want to do this year. These are more fun things that you want to do. Some of the things on my bucket list for 2018 are travel somewhere new, and move into my apartment. I really liked this approach because not only do I have clear goals to work on, but I also know what these goals are ultimately working towards, and I have a fun list of things I want to make sure, or at least try, to do. If you want to see how I incorperated this into my bullet journal, go check out my last blog post! bullet-journal-set-up-2018.html What are your goals for 2018?
~Ana Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day with your families and ate lots of good food. I'm so excited to be doing this post! So let's get to it...
That's it for Christmas 2017. I hope you enjoyed seeing a few things that I got this year. Let me know what you got for Christmas, I would love to see them. If you have any questions about anything I got, or want me to do more posts about them, just let me know!
~Ana PS. Thank you to my amazing parents for the best Christmas! Growing up in Canada, I've had to deal with some intense winters. Canadian winters are no joke. It's freezing cold, and there's a lot of snow. It takes a lot to get a snow day around here. Here are a few things that make winter in Canada just a little bit easier to handle.
