It's hard to believe we're a month in 2018 already. With February just around the corner, it's time to set up our bullet journals for a new month. Cover Page I really enjoy making a cover page for each month because it gives me a chance to do some cool lettering. It also sections off your months a little more. I've been obsessed with this lettering style lately! Month Overview For January I used a calendar layout and I didn't love it. So, for this month, I went back to the vertical layout, and then divided it into two columns; one for school, and one for personal. I also added space at the bottom for a "this month" section where I can write things that I need to remember for this month but don't necessarily have dates. Costa Rica Page! I'm so excited to be going to Costa Rica this month! I'm going to be using this page as a packing list once it gets closer. Let me know if you want to see how I do that. Finances and Habit Tracker For my Finances page I split it up into two sections. One for budget, and one for spending. This way I can see how my spending lines up with my budget. One the page next to it I have my habit tracker. I actually find this very helpful for trying to stick with my goals for 2018. One Line a Day The last spread I have for the month is a "one line a day" spread. I tried a gratitude log in January, and I found that it was a good exercise for me. This month I changed it slightly so I can write down anything for each day. At the end I have a section for memories from the month. Let me know what you think! Also if you have any posts you want to see let me know!

I'm so excited to be doing more bullet journal posts! I was stuck for awhile and stopped bullet journalling, but I'm back, and really into it again! For those of you who are thinking of starting bullet journalling, or even for those of you have been doing it for awhile, here's what I use to bullet journal! Leuchtturm1917 A5 Dotted Notebook I'm on my second bullet journal using this notebook and I can't imagine using anything else. They come in a variety of colours, so you can get a new colour for each bullet journal (my first one was grey, and now I have a blue one). The pages are numbered which is really nice if you keep track in your index. Sakura Pigma Micron Pens I got a set of these for Christmas last year and have been using them ever since. I love these because they come in a bunch of different sizes and the ink doesn't bleed through the pages. I use these so much I'll probably have to get new ones soon. Zebra Mildliners Everywhere you look in the bullet journal community, you're going to see these. They're dual-tip highlighters/markers that come in really cute colours. They're perfect for adding hints of colour to your spreads, or making your notes for class just a little prettier. Tombow Dual Brush Pens I just tried these for the first time about a month ago and my collection is already starting to grow. The only reason I waited so long to try them was because they were hard to find in Canada, but now you can get them at Michael's! They come in 96 colours! I've really started working on my brush lettering since I got these, and they really do make a huge difference. Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen These came in the Tombow VIP Club box that I got for Christmas. They have tiny brush tips which are great for calligraphy. Since I got these I've been using them for everything. They don't bleed through the page or smudge (*usually). My lettering looks so much nicer now that I've been using these. Washi Tape, Stickers, etc. I haven't really been using much washi tape or stickers lately. In my old bullet journal, almost every single page had washi tape on it. The only reason I don't use it now is because I didn't bring any with me to school. Ruler I have a mini ruler that fits in my pencil case. I ALWAYS use a ruler. I don't know how people can draw a straight line without one. Maybe I'm just really bad at drawing straight lines. Props to you if you can draw your spreads without a ruler! Honestly, if you're just starting to bullet journal, you don't need all of this stuff. It's just become a bit of an addiction for me. A lot of this stuff you can get at craft stores like Michael's. Let me know if you have any recommendations of things I need to try!
